Flood Advisory issued June 16 at 11:05PM EDT until June 17 at 2:15AM EDT by NWS Jackson KY

* WHAT…Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…Portions of east central, south central, and southeast
Kentucky, including the following counties, in east central
Kentucky, Estill and Powell. In south central Kentucky,
Rockcastle. In southeast Kentucky, Jackson, Lee and Wolfe.

* WHEN…Until 215 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 1104 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen.
– Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Irvine, Mount Vernon, Beattyville, Boone, Fincastle, Ravenna,
Blanton Flats, Alcorn, Jinks, Brazil, Foxtown, Drip Rock,
Locust Branch, Alumbaugh, Wagersville, Hisel, Lakes, Wind
Cave, Station Camp and Waneta.
