* WHAT…Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…Portions of east central, south central, and southeast
Kentucky, including the following counties, in east central
Kentucky, Estill and Powell. In south central Kentucky,
Rockcastle. In southeast Kentucky, Jackson, Lee and Wolfe.

* WHEN…Until 215 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 1104 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen.
– Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Irvine, Mount Vernon, Beattyville, Boone, Fincastle, Ravenna,
Blanton Flats, Alcorn, Jinks, Brazil, Foxtown, Drip Rock,
Locust Branch, Alumbaugh, Wagersville, Hisel, Lakes, Wind
Cave, Station Camp and Waneta.

Disaster Recovery Center in Southbury to Permanently Close Nov 19 The Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Southbury, Connecticut, opened to help those affected by the August 18-19, 2024 Severe Storm, Flooding, Landslides and Mudslides, will close permanently at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 19.  DRC Location:  Southbury Town Hall501 Main Street, SouthSouthbury, CT 06488  The DRC is still open Monday, November 18 and Tuesday, November 19 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.   The deadline to apply for FEMA assistance is November 19, 2024.  After the DRC closes, survivors can still view the status of their application online at DisasterAssistance.gov

Federal Disaster Assistance for Connecticut Tops $9 Million Six weeks after President Joseph R. Biden declared a major disaster for the state of Connecticut following the August 18-19, 2024 Severe Storm, Flooding, Landslides and Mudslides, more than $9 million in federal assistance has been provided by FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) to support disaster recovery.  As of November 14, Connecticut’s recovery assistance from FEMA includes: $9,001,961 million in FEMA’s Individual and Households Program (IHP) grants awarded to eligible homeowners and renters in three Connecticut counties.
