Flood Advisory issued June 17 at 12:58AM EDT until June 17 at 4:00AM EDT by NWS Raleigh NC

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…A portion of central North Carolina, including the
following counties, Davidson, Montgomery, Moore, Randolph and
Stanly.

* WHEN…Until 400 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 1257 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen.
– Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Asheboro, Albemarle, Troy, Badin Lake, North Carolina Zoo,
Biscoe, Seagrove, Plyler, Locust, Norwood, Badin, Oakboro,
Ramseur, Stanfield, Franklinville, Robbins, Star, Richfield,
New London and Staley.
