* WHERE…Slate Creek at Wellington.
* WHEN…Until late Thursday morning.
* IMPACTS…At 22.0 feet, The Kansas Turnpike may begin to take on
water between mile marker 14 and 15 near the vicinity of Slate
Creek. Road closure may be possible near this section of the
Kansas Turnpike if the creek continues to rise.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 9:46 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 21.0 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 21.9
feet tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage
late tomorrow evening.
– Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
