URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Tornado Watch Number 432 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 945 AM CDT Wed Jun 18 2025 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Tornado Watch for portions of Central and Southern Illinois Eastern Missouri * Effective this Wednesday morning and afternoon from 945 AM until 400 PM CDT. * Primary threats include... A couple tornadoes possible Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible SUMMARY...Thunderstorms are expected to rapidly develop over eastern Missouri and western Illinois this morning, tracking northeastward across the watch area. Large hail and damaging winds are possible, along with an increasing risk of a few tornadoes with time. The tornado watch area is approximately along and 80 statute miles east and west of a line from 50 miles north northeast of Peoria IL to 30 miles south of Carbondale IL.
