Fire Weather Watch issued June 18 at 1:39PM MDT until June 20 at 9:00PM MDT by NWS Albuquerque NM

…FIRE WEATHER WATCH FOR THE NORTHWEST PLATEAU FRIDAY AFTERNOON
THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING DUE TO STRONG WINDS, VERY LOW HUMIDITY, AND
HIGH FIRE DANGER…

.South to southwest winds will trend stronger Friday afternoon,
increasing the risk of rapid fire spread. Humidity recoveries have
been consistently poor and will continue to be so leading into
Friday. Very low afternoon minimum humidity values of five to ten
percent will further contribute to the rapid drying of fuels.

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Fire
Weather Watch…which is in effect from Friday afternoon through
Friday evening.

* AREA AND TIMING…Northwest Plateau (Zone 101) Friday afternoon
through Friday evening.

* 20 FOOT WINDS…15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY…5 to 10 percent.

* IMPACTS…Any ongoing or new fires that develop will likely
spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
