The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a Red
Flag Warning below 7000 feet for gusty winds, low relative
humidity and dry fuels, which is in effect from 9 AM Friday to
midnight MDT Friday night. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in
effect.
* AFFECTED AREA…In Colorado, Fire Weather Zone 203 Lower
Colorado River below 7000 feet.
* TIMING…For the first Red Flag Warning, from noon today to 8
PM MDT this evening. For the second Red Flag Warning, from 9
AM Friday to midnight MDT Friday night. For the Fire Weather
Watch, from Saturday morning through Saturday evening.
* WINDS…South 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY…4 to 9 percent.
* IMPACTS…Fires will catch and spread quickly. Exercise
extreme caution with any outdoor burning.
