…The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Kansas…

Little Arkansas River Near Halstead affecting Harvey County.

Little Arkansas River At Alta Mills affecting Harvey and Reno
Counties.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Little Arkansas River at Alta Mills.

* WHEN…Until tomorrow evening.

* IMPACTS…At 25.0 feet, About a 500 ft wide overflow may be
expected across Highway 50, located about 6 miles south of the
gage site around River Park Road. Directly south of the gage
expect the low lying area to be inundated for a few miles. North
of the gage, overflow may be about half mile wide. Expect fields
and cropland to be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 7:15 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 24.2 feet and cresting.
– Forecast…The river is expected to fall below flood stage
tomorrow morning and continue falling to about 12 feet on
Saturday morning.
– Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
