South Sulphur River Near Cooper affecting Delta and Hopkins
Counties.

Trinity River Near Long Lake (Oakwood) affecting Freestone,
Anderson and Leon Counties.

* WHAT…Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE…Trinity River near Long Lake (Oakwood).

* WHEN…Until Sunday afternoon.

* IMPACTS…At 42.0 feet, Moderate flooding of numerous ranches
along the river is expected. The Coffield Prison farm and ranch
lands will be moderately flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 7:30 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 41.6 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 35.0 feet.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 7:30 PM CDT Thursday was 42.9 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to fall below flood stage
early Sunday morning and continue falling to 31.8 feet
Tuesday evening.
– Flood stage is 35.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of
41.4 feet on 06/15/1943.
