* WINDS…Southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph,
especially across western Utah.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY…As low as 4 to 9 percent.

* OVERNIGHT RECOVERY…15 to 20 percent lower elevations, 25 to 35
percent higher elevations.

* IMPACTS…Critical fire weather conditions are expected. Any
new fire starts or existing fires may spread rapidly.

Tree limbs could snap resulting in a few power outages. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions below 4000 feet, with daytime temperatures ranging from 99 degrees at Havasupai Gardens, to 109 degrees at Phantom Ranch. * WHERE...Lower elevations of the Grand Canyon. * WHEN...Until 7 PM MST this evening. * IMPACTS...Most individuals will be at risk for heat-related illnesses without effective cooling or adequate hydration, especially with prolonged outdoor exposure.
