Beach Hazards Statement issued June 20 at 11:02PM EDT until June 22 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS Gaylord MI

* WHAT…Dangerous swimming conditions are expected due to high
waves of 3 to 6 feet and rip currents.

* WHERE…Leelanau, Benzie, Manistee, Western Mackinac and
Eastern Mackinac Counties, and Beaver Island and surrounding
islands.

* WHEN…From Saturday morning through Sunday evening.

* IMPACTS…Strong currents can pull swimmers into deeper water
and high waves can sweep people off piers.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Regardless of swim risk, hypothermia is
possible due to very cold water temperatures.
