The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a Red
Flag Warning below 8500 feet for gusty winds, low relative
humidity and dry fuels, which is in effect from noon to 9 PM MDT
Sunday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.

* AFFECTED AREA…In Colorado, Fire Weather Zone 295 Southwest
Colorado Upper East Forecast Area below 8500 feet.

* TIMING…For the first Red Flag Warning, from 9 AM this
morning to midnight MDT tonight. For the second Red Flag
Warning, from noon to 9 PM MDT Sunday.

* WINDS…Southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY…7 to 12 percent.

* IMPACTS…Fires will catch and spread quickly. Exercise
extreme caution with any outdoor burning.

At 536 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Rainbow Lakes Estates, moving southwest at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts around 40 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Dunnellon.
