Flood Warning issued June 21 at 7:34PM CDT until June 22 at 10:00PM CDT by NWS New Orleans LA

…The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Louisiana…Mississippi…

Pearl River Near Pearl River affecting St. Tammany Parish, Hancock
and Pearl River Counties.

For the Lower Pearl River…including Pearl River…Minor flooding
is forecast.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Pearl River near Pearl River.

* WHEN…Until late tomorrow evening.

* IMPACTS…At 14.0 feet, Secondary roads to the river and
throughout Honey Island Swamp are inundated. Property in the
vicinity of the gage is flooded threatening about 20 homes along
the left bank.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 7:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 14.4 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to fall below flood stage
tomorrow afternoon and continue falling to 10.1 feet Tuesday,
July 01.
– Flood stage is 14.0 feet.

Residential electricity bills could increase slightly this summer

During summer 2025, from June through September, residential customers in the United States can expect average monthly electricity bills of $178, a slight increase from last summer's average of $173. We expect a slight decrease in consumption, driven by cooler forecast summer temperatures relative to last summer, which only partially offsets the expected increase in residential electricity prices in most areas of the country.
