degrees expected. For the Extreme Heat Warning, dangerously hot
conditions with heat index values between 105 and 110 degrees
expected.

* WHERE…A portion of eastern New York.

* WHEN…For the Heat Advisory, from 11 AM this morning to 8 PM EDT
this evening. For the Extreme Heat Warning, from 11 AM Monday to 8
PM EDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS…Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events. Hot temperatures and high
humidity may cause heat illnesses.

FEMA Authorizes Funds to Fight Copperfield Fire in Oregon BOTHELL, Wash. -  The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) authorized the use of federal funds to help with firefighting costs for the Copperfield Fire burning in Klamath County, Oregon.  The state of Oregon’s request for a federal Fire Management Assistance Grant (FMAG) was approved by FEMA Region 10 Administrator Willie G. Nunn on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at 11:58 p.m. PT.
