* WHAT…Temperatures up to 80 expected.

* WHERE…Haines Borough and Klukwan.

* WHEN…From 1 PM this afternoon to 7 PM AKDT this evening.

* IMPACTS…Individuals not accustomed to these unusually hot
temperatures for this region may experience heat related
illnesses.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…High temperatures near Klukwan and along
higher elevations of the Haines highway will reach values up
to around 80 degrees F during the afternoon hours through
Sunday. The city of Haines will not get as warm due to sea
breezes, but temperatures into the lower to middle 70s are
still expected.
