* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall will continue.
* WHERE…A portion of southeast New Mexico, including the following
county, central Chaves.
* WHEN…Until 745 AM MDT Monday.
* IMPACTS…Flooding of creeks, streams, washes, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is occurring, particularly near
northwestern Roswell and to the west of the U.S. 70 Truck Relief
route. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be
passable. It will take several hours for all the water from these
storms to work through local drainage systems in urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 747 PM MDT, gauge reports indicated heavy rain of due to
thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the warned area. Between 1 and 5 inches of rain
have fallen with the highest amounts northwest of Roswell.

Roswell, Dexter, Bottomless Lakes State Park, Midway and
Greenfield.
