* WHAT…For the Extreme Heat Warning, dangerously hot conditions
with heat index values up to 106. For the Heat Advisory, heat
index values up to 101 expected.

* WHERE…Portions of southern Connecticut, northeast New Jersey,
and southeast New York.

* WHEN…For the Extreme Heat Warning, until 8 PM EDT this evening.
For the Heat Advisory, from 8 PM this evening to 7 PM EDT
Wednesday.

* IMPACTS…Extreme heat and humidity will significantly increase
the potential for heat related illnesses, particularly for those
working or participating in outdoor activities. Hot temperatures
and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…The highest heat index values will take place
during the afternoon.
