* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…A portion of central North Carolina, including the
following counties, Edgecombe, Nash and Wilson.

* WHEN…Until 345 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 1236 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of
rain have fallen.
– Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Rocky Mount, Nashville, Wilson, Elm City, Dortches, Bailey,
Red Oak, Sharpsburg, Pinetops, Spring Hope, Lucama,
Middlesex, Stantonsburg, Black Creek, Macclesfield, Saratoga,
Sims, Castalia, Tar River Reservoir and New Hope.

FEMA Deadline Passed but Assistance is Still Available While the deadline to register with FEMA passed on Nov. 25 for those affected by July’s severe storms, agency representatives are still available to answer questions and help Vermonters complete their applications.
