* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE…Portions of north central North Carolina, including the
following county, Caswell and south central Virginia, including
the following counties and independent city, City of Danville,
Halifax and Pittsylvania.

* WHEN…Until 300 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is
occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 123 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen.
– This includes the following streams and drainages…
Big Toby Creek, Birch Creek, Banister River, Cane Creek,
Barker Creek and Carlton Creek.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.

Blairs… Ingram…

Survivors should remember that these calls often come with unfamiliar area codes and phone numbers. It is important for applicants to answer FEMA’s call. For example, an inspection may be required to determine whether a home is safe, functional and accessible, or to verify the current state of the property. Without an inspection, there may be a delay in FEMA’s review of the application.
