* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…A portion of northwest Florida, including the following
county, Escambia.

* WHEN…Until 1000 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Ponding of water in downtown Pensacola is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 651 AM CDT, Doppler radar and nearby rain gauges indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is expected
to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5
inches of rain have already fallen with very slow moving
storms.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Pensacola, Ferry Pass, Brent, West Pensacola, Ensley,
Warrington, Goulding, Brownsville and Olive.

At 1218 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles east of Linton, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of east central Emmons County.
