…The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Minnesota…

Minnesota River at Granite Falls HWY 212 affecting Renville,
Chippewa and Yellow Medicine Counties.

…The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Minnesota…

Minnesota River at Morton affecting Renville and Redwood Counties.

Minnesota River at Montevideo affecting Lac qui Parle, Chippewa
and Yellow Medicine Counties.

.After the widespread rain over the last few days, we expect to see
a gradual increase in flow over the mainstem Minnesota River. As
such, flooding is expected to continue until we see a prolonged
period of dry weather. The expectation with the upcoming rainfall is
several other forecast points eventually reaching action and or
flood stage over the next several days.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Minnesota River at Montevideo.

* WHEN…Until further notice.

* IMPACTS…At 17.0 feet, Storm sewers may need to be plugged to
prevent water from backing up into streets.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 800 PM CDT Thursday, the stage was 15.6 feet.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 800 PM CDT Thursday was 15.6 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 15.9
feet early Saturday morning.
– Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of
15.9 feet on 07/11/1995.
