Flood Warning issued June 26 at 9:38PM CDT until June 29 at 4:00PM CDT by NWS Omaha/Valley NE

…The National Weather Service in Omaha/Valley NE has issued a
Flood Warning for the following rivers in Nebraska…

Platte River Near Leshara affecting Sarpy, Saunders and Douglas
Counties.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Platte River near Leshara.

* WHEN…From Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon.

* IMPACTS…At 8.5 feet, Significant lowland flooding is occurring
as the river is out of its banks. In addition the Papio NRD access
site at Highway 64 is flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 9:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 6.9 feet…or 1.1 feet
below flood stage.
– Bankfull stage is 7.5 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage
early tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 8.1 feet tomorrow
evening. It will then fall below flood stage late Sunday
morning.
– Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
