Flood Advisory issued June 28 at 4:29PM EDT until June 28 at 6:30PM EDT by NWS Jacksonville FL

* WHAT…Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…A portion of northeast Florida, including the following
counties, Duval and St. Johns.

* WHEN…Until 630 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Some low-water crossings may become impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 428 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen.
– Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Jacksonville, Ponte Vedra Beach, Jacksonville Beach, Atlantic
Beach, Neptune Beach, San Pablo and Palm Valley.

At 940 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Canby, or 33 miles southwest of Montevideo, moving southeast at 10 mph. HAZARD...Tornado and ping pong ball size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. Locations impacted include... Canby, Porter and Burr.
