* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…Portions of east central and northeast Oklahoma, including
the following counties, in east central Oklahoma, Cherokee. In
northeast Oklahoma, Mayes, Rogers and Wagoner.

* WHEN…Until noon CDT.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 851 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area.
– Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.

At 940 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Canby, or 33 miles southwest of Montevideo, moving southeast at 10 mph. HAZARD...Tornado and ping pong ball size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
