Numerous to widespread showers and thunderstorms develop through the afternoon hours, with help from the daily sea breeze and daytime heating (50-80% chance of rain). Greatest coverage of shower and thunderstorm activity for the Florida Panhandle and portions of the Central Florida Peninsula (70-90% chance of rain). Any strong to severe thunderstorm this afternoon will be capable of producing locally damaging wind gusts
