Warning for the following rivers in South Dakota…

Sixmile Creek near Brookings affecting Brookings County.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring. This approaches or exceeds the
flood of record.

* WHERE…Sixmile Creek near Brookings.

* WHEN…From this evening until further notice.

* IMPACTS…At 1634.0 feet, Water approaches the intersection of 1st
Ave and Harvey Dunn St in Brookings and may begin to flood.
Agricultural flooding begins northeast of Brookings including
leaving the right bank of the creek at the Highway 30 crossing.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 8:15 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 1634.5 feet.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:15 PM CDT Sunday was 1634.8 feet.
– Forecast…No forecast is available for this location.
– Flood stage is 1634.0 feet.

At 525 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Lehigh Acres, moving north at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Fort Myers Shores, North Fort Myers, Lehigh Acres, Alva, East Dunbar, Suncoast Estates, Charleston Park, Fort Myers, Tice, Olga, Southwest Florida Airport, Gateway, and Buckingham.
