Flood Warning issued June 29 at 9:19PM CDT until June 30 at 1:30AM CDT by NWS Wichita KS

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…A portion of South Central Kansas, including the following
counties, Butler and Cowley.

* WHEN…Until 130 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS…Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 919 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the warned area. Between 1 and 4 inches of rain
have fallen.
– Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in
the warned area.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Arkansas City, Winfield, Andover, Augusta, Rose Hill,
Douglass, Udall, Leon, Burden, Dexter, Atlanta, Latham, Rock,
Cambridge, Winfield City Lake, Strother Field Airport, Maple
City, Augusta Municipal Airport, Santa Fe Lake and Beaumont.
