Special Weather Statement issued June 29 at 10:18PM MDT by NWS Goodland KS

At 1018 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles northwest of Weskan, or 16 miles northeast of Cheyenne Wells,
moving east at 15 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 55 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of eastern Cheyenne
County in east central Colorado and Wallace Counties in west central
Kansas, including the following locations… Arapahoe.

This includes Highway 385 between mile markers 141 and 169.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Eastern Fayette County Ohio, southwest Pickaway County Ohio, and northwest Ross County Ohio. * WHEN...Until 230 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1125 PM EDT, radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... New Holland, Frankfort, Clarksburg, Austin, Andersonville and Plano.

Beach Hazards Statement issued June 30 at 8:16PM EDT until July 1 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS Newport/Morehead City NC

* WHAT...Dangerous rip currents and strong longshore currents in the surf zone. * WHERE...Hatteras Island beaches, and Ocracoke Island beaches. * WHEN...From 8 AM EDT Tuesday through Tuesday evening. * IMPACTS...Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water. Strong longshore currents will create dangerous swimming conditions. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The most likely time for strong rip currents to occur is a couple hours either side of low tide, which will occur around 7:00 AM Tuesday.
