Flood Advisory issued June 30 at 9:31PM CDT until July 1 at 12:30AM CDT by NWS Birmingham AL

* WHAT…Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…A portion of central Alabama, including the following
counties, Greene, Pickens and Sumter.

* WHEN…Until 1230 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 931 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This is causing urban and small stream
flooding. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen.
– Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Livingston, Aliceville, Pickensville, Boligee, Gainesville,
Epes, Emelle, Memphis, McMullen, New West Greene, West
Greene, Panola, Allison, Garden, Johnston Lake, Benevola, The
University Of West Alabama, Bluffport, Boyd and Bevill Lock
And Dam.
