Flood Advisory issued July 2 at 5:31PM EDT until July 2 at 6:30PM EDT by NWS Upton NY

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…A portion of southern Connecticut, including the following
counties, Fairfield and New Haven.

* WHEN…Until 630 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 531 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.2 and 0.8 inches of
rain have fallen.
– Additional rainfall amounts of 0.2 to 0.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Milford, Shelton, Orange and Derby.
