Flood Advisory issued July 2 at 6:38AM EDT until July 2 at 9:45AM EDT by NWS Wakefield VA

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…A portion of central Virginia, including the following
counties, Fluvanna and Louisa.

* WHEN…Until 945 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 638 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up
to 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
– Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Louisa, Mineral, Ferncliff, Boswells Tavern, Troy, Byrd Mill,
Trevilians, Bybee, Zion Crossroads, Louisa Airport,
Yanceyville, Cuckoo, Union Mills and Pendleton.
