Flood Warning issued July 1 at 9:46PM EDT until July 5 at 1:00AM EDT by NWS Indianapolis IN

…The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Indiana…

White River at Petersburg, Edwardsport, and Hazleton.

.Rainfall amounts of 3 to 7 inches of rain fell across the area over
the past few days. This will produce minor flooding along the White
River near Edwardsport and points downstream in the coming days.
River flooding should begin tonight and end by this weekend.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…White River at Hazleton.

* WHEN…From Wednesday evening to early Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS…At 17.5 feet, Flood water is near or starting on
Pottsville Road. Low bottomlands are increasingly affected by
flood waters.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– There is no current observed data.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage
tomorrow evening to a crest of 17.7 feet early Thursday
afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early Friday
afternoon.
– Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

Air Quality Alert issued July 3 at 4:40PM EDT by NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC

The Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments and District Department of Environment has issued a Code ORANGE Air Quality Alert Friday for the District of Columbia. A Code Orange Air Quality Alert means that air pollution concentrations within the region may become unhealthy for sensitive groups. Sensitive groups include children, people suffering from asthma, heart disease or other lung diseases and the elderly. The effects of air pollution can be minimized by avoiding strenuous activity or exercise outdoors.
