…RED FLAG WARNING FOR SCATTERED LIGHTNING TODAY AND TOMORROW…

.Scattered thunderstorms will develop THIS afternoon and evening
and AGAIN tomorrow afternoon and evening across southeast Oregon.

Some of the storms will contain little rainfall, gusty outflow
winds, and combined with hot temperatures and low humidity will
lead to critical fire weather conditions.

…RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM TO 8 PM PDT THURSDAY FOR
LIGHTNING FOR BURNS BLM AND SOUTHERN GRASSLANDS…WHICH ARE FIRE
WEATHER ZONES 670 AND 672…

The National Weather Service in Boise has issued a Red Flag
Warning for lightning, which is in effect from 2 PM to 8 PM PDT
Thursday.

* AFFECTED AREA…In Oregon, Fire Weather Zones 670 Burns BLM
and 672 Southern Grasslands.

* TIMING…For the first Red Flag Warning, until 11 PM PDT this
evening. For the second Red Flag Warning, from 2 PM to 8 PM
PDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS…Any fire that develops will catch and spread
quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

* THUNDERSTORMS…Scattered.

* OUTFLOW WINDS…Isolated gusts up to 50 mph.
