Flood Advisory issued July 3 at 9:41PM MDT until July 4 at 12:45AM MDT by NWS Albuquerque NM

* WHAT…Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…A portion of east central New Mexico, including the
following county, east central Quay.

* WHEN…Until 1245 AM MDT.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Dangerous flows
over low-water crossings. Water over roadways. Overflowing poor
drainage areas. Some low-water crossings may become impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 938 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream
flooding. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen.
– Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over
the area. The potential exists for flash flooding to develop.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Logan, San Jon and Bard.
– Hazardous water levels are expected in Revuelto Creek,
Tuscocillo Canyon, and eventually Frost Creek, as well as the
Canadian River downstream from Revuelto Creek into Texas.
San Jon Creek and Trujillo Creek will also be impacted.
