Flag Warning.
* AFFECTED AREA…White Mountains and High Terrain South of the
Yukon River, Upper Chena River Valley and Chatanika River
Valley.
* TIMING…From 4 PM Friday to 1 AM AKDT Saturday.
* WINDS…Northeast 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
* HUMIDITY…As low as 23 percent. Poor relative humidity recovery expected
Friday night.
* TEMPERATURES…Highs in the mid to upper 80s. Lows in the mid 50s, except in
the low 60s over ridgetops.
* IMPACTS…Rapid ignition, growth and spread of fires will be
possible. Hot, dry, and windy conditions may lead to rapid
spread of fires.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Northeast winds will increase Friday
evening and continue through the night into Saturday morning.
