Winds gusting as high as 65 mph. * WHERE...Portions of southwest and west central Iowa and east central, northeast, and southeast Nebraska. * WHEN...From 7 AM to 10 PM CDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult to impossible. Widespread blowing snow will significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes.

* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 7 to 11 feet with dangerous rip currents. * WHERE...San Luis Obispo County Beaches and Santa Barbara County Central Coast Beaches. * WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 10 PM PDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...There is an increased risk for ocean drowning. Rip currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Large breaking waves can cause injury, wash people off beaches and rocks, and capsize small boats near shore.

...BLIZZARD CONDITIONS ARE POSSIBLE WEDNESDAY... .Another strong spring system will track through the Upper Midwest late Tuesday into Wednesday. Similar to our other March storms, this will start as rain before transitioning to snow. Unlike our last storm, this should fall as rain and snow with no strong signal for sleet or freezing rain. Heavy snow rates of an inch per hour are possible within the watch area. The whole watch area will see reductions to visibility from falling and blowing snow. However the winds across southern Minnesota will be higher, therefore this area has the best chance for blizzard

Isolated gusts to 60 mph are possible in the immediate Wendover area. * WHERE...Great Salt Lake Desert and Mountains. * WHEN...From 4 PM this afternoon to 10 PM MDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and a few power outages may result. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A strong cold front will bring gusty winds to the immediate Wendover area and downwind of the Raft River Range. Winds will be less gusty outside of these areas across the Great Salt Lake Desert and Mountains region.
