At 1002 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles west of Brevard, or 4 miles south of Graveyard Fields, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... East Asheville, Crab Creek, Etowah, Hendersonville, West Asheville, Swannanoa, Warren Wilson College, Tuxedo, Connestee, and Asheville Airport.

Strongest on the coastal headlands. * WHERE...Del Norte Coast. * WHEN...From 5 PM Wednesday to 11 PM PDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Wind gusts will be particularly strong along windward ridges and exposed coastal headlands. There is an increased risk of tree branches and other debris on roadways. Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

In addition, low-lying roads in Southwest Beauregard Parish are flooded including Robert Clark Road. Flooding occurs on the south side of Niblett Bluff Park with access roads to camp houses cut off
