ESFAFG The Yukon River is open from Tanana to about 10 miles downstream of Mountain Village as of Thursday afternoon. Thermally degraded and lifted ice remains in the middle and south mouths and at Emmonak and Alakanuk. Ice runs from upstream of Tanana continue as ice degrades between Beaver and Rampart. Heavy ice runs are still being seen along many stretches of the Yukon. Water levels remain low, however if an ice jam forms at the breakup front, water levels could rise quickly behind it causing localized minor flooding. River Watch flights are done for the season.

The lower portion of Johnson Road near Herndon is also flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 945 AM EDT Thursday, the stage was 6.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 6.7 feet Friday evening. It will then fall below flood stage Sunday afternoon. - Flood stage is 6.0 feet.
