The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday evening and Friday morning commutes.

Additional snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches. * WHERE...Western Kenai Peninsula. * WHEN...Until midnight AKST tonight. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Heavy snow falling onto wet roadways may create slushy or icy conditions. Snowfall rates of an inch an hour are possible in the band of heavy snow. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A band of locally heavy snowfall is currently over the western Kenai Peninsula. * WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 7 inches. * WHERE...Wasatch Back, mainly for Park City and the Snyderville Basin, as well as the Ogden Valley. Totals in the Heber Valley will be much less. * WHEN...From 5 AM to 11 PM MST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Winter driving conditions are expected. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Peak snowfall rates expected up to 1 inch per hour Saturday morning between 5am and 10am, with snowfall continuing but becoming lighter through Saturday afternoon. Snow will diminish Saturday evening.
