Although relatively humidity levels will only drop into the 30 percent range this afternoon, winds speeds increase to 15 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph. The wind combined with dry fuels will lead to increased fire danger across Northeast Georgia this afternoon into the early evening. Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities on whether you can burn today. If you do burn, use extreme caution since fires can quickly get out of hand under these conditions.

French Broad River Near Fletcher affecting Buncombe and Henderson Counties. .A complex storm system and associated cold front will impact the upper French Broad River watershed tonight through Sunday morning, resulting in periods of moderate to heavy rainfall. Storm-total accumulations of 3-5" are expected across the watershed.
