Special Weather Statement issued March 21 at 10:44AM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA

.Elevated Fire Danger Expected Today... This afternoon, relative humidities are expected to drop to 20%-30% and wind expected to gust between 20-30 mph with the higher gusts expected in the ridge-line. With the dry conditions earlier this week and less than 0.25 inches of rain accumulation yesterday, the fuel moisture is likely to dry quickly in the sunny and warm conditions today. This leads to an elevated fire danger today. Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities on whether you may burn outdoors. If you do burn, use extreme caution since fires can increasingly escalate under these conditions.
