* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Oklahoma, including the following county, Choctaw. * WHEN...Until 1245 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1051 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding

At 1051 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 10 miles west of Fort Union Trading Post to 9 miles east of Watford City. Movement was northeast at 50 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Special Weather Statement issued March 1 at 10:51PM EST by NWS Columbia SC

The combination of dry fuels & low relative humidity continues to raise concerns for dangerous fire behavior on Sunday. While winds will be lighter, the dry conditions are forecast to continue being a problem. The South Carolina Forestry Commission has issued a burn ban because of this. The ban will stay in effect until further notice, which will come in the form of an official announcement from the Forestry Commission. Please act with diligence to avoid wildfires occurring.
