The lower portion of Johnson Road near Herndon is also flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1000 AM EDT Monday, the stage was 5.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this afternoon and continue rising to 6.2 feet early Wednesday morning. Below Winthrop Point the river is a mix of degraded in-place ice on bends alternating with open stretches of water to near the mouth which is open for several miles upstream of the community of Koyukuk.
