A strong weather front moving into the Alaska Panhandle Saturday night into Sunday brings increased potential for accumulating snow to the upper elevations of the Klondike Highway and White Pass. Current forecast snowfall accumulations up to 6 inches over 24 hours are possible, however forecast confidence remains low. Due to rising snow levels and warming temperatures accompanying the heavy precipitation rates there will likely be a mix of snow and rain which would keep snow totals lower.
