ESFSJU Increasing moisture and instability from a nearby trough will maintain the potential for heavy showers and thunderstorms through the end of the workweek. Since rains have been abundant in the last couple of days in Puerto Rico, soils are saturated and rivers are running high. Therefore, there is an elevated to significant threat of flooding for most of the area. Showers will again develop today, but the activity is expected to be even more widespread on Wednesday and Thursday. Additionally, winds are light, so any rain that develops will be long-lasting.
