Special Weather Statement issued December 27 at 11:35AM CST by NWS Twin Cities/Chanhassen MN

Locations beneath the band of rain lifting from south to north along the I-35 corridor have displayed significant visibility improvements over the past few hours. It's likely that locations in western Wisconsin will undergo further improvements as the shield of rain moves in this afternoon. While the overall scenario is looking better from a fog standpoint, those driving should be aware that areas of low visibility remain possible prior to the arrival of persistent rainfall.

The No-Burn rule bans burning wood, pellets, and manufactured fire logs in any indoor or outdoor wood-burning device. * WHERE...The South Coast Air Basin, which includes Orange County and non-desert portions of Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties. No-Burn Day alerts do not apply to areas above 3,000 feet in elevation, the Coachella Valley, or the High Desert. Homes that rely on wood as a sole source of heat, low-income households and those without natural gas service also are exempt
