Special Weather Statement issued December 4 at 11:35PM EST by NWS Indianapolis IN
Recent rain to snow showers and rapidly falling temperatures into the 20s and teens by early Thursday will combine to produce slick and icy roads across most of central Indiana through the Thursday morning commute. Gusty winds as high as 45 to 55 MPH overnight may produce blowing snow, although this is most likely amid snow showers prior to pre-dawn Thursday. Additionally, wind chills values late tonight into daybreak Thursday will drop as low as 5 to 10 degrees below zero.
