* WHAT...Extremely cold temperatures as low as 40 below. * WHERE...Municipality of Skagway particularly along the Klondike Highway and near White Pass. * WHEN...Until 9 AM AKST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia are likely if exposed to these temperatures. An extended period of freezing temperatures could cause ruptured water pipes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Subzero temperatures of -10 Fahrenheit or colder along the Klondike Highway have persisted into Friday and will continue through Friday night.
