Snow will continue through evening hours. Lower elevation valley locations will rise into the upper 30s this afternoon and Wednesday during the day, with temps falling back below freezing at night. Snowfall accumulations will come and go all the way through Thursday as a front remains draped over the region. In addition, gusty southwest winds to 30 mph may cause minor blowing snow, with more widespread blowing snow over the highway summits. ESFBOI Warmer temperatures will lead to snowmelt, causing rises on rivers, creeks, and streams across southeast Oregon through midweek. Saturated soils in some areas will increase runoff. Those with interests along rivers, creeks and streams should continue to monitor the forecast as there is some uncertainty in how much response the lower elevation rivers, creeks and streams will see. An active pattern returns to the southeast Alaska panhandle as a weakening system will push into the Northern Gulf of Alaska through Friday. As this system approaches, we are monitioring the increasing potential for impactful snow accumulations for the City and Borough of Yakutat with the highest probability for accumulating snow arriving late Thursday night through Friday afternoon.
