* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 6 and 12 inches, with locally up to 20 inches in the Cottonwoods. Winds will create areas of blowing snow, particularly Saturday late morning through afternoon. * WHERE...The Wasatch Mountains, and Western Uinta Mountains. * WHEN...Until 11 PM MST this evening. * IMPACTS...Winter driving conditions are expected. Light snow is expected across the area this afternoon into early this evening. Snow amounts up to around 1 inch are expected, with some higher amounts of near 2 inches possible near and north of a line from Fairfield, Iowa to Monmouth, Illinois. Untreated roads could become slippery especially by late afternoon into this evening as temperatures drop below freezing. Exercise caution if driving across the area this afternoon and evening, and plan for a little extra time to reach your destination.

* WHAT...Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog. * WHERE...Portions of central, south central, southeast, and southwest Minnesota and northwest and west central Wisconsin. * WHEN...Until midnight CST tonight. * IMPACTS...Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous. For locations that have temperatures drop below 32 degrees, freezing fog could deposit onto surfaces and create slippery spots on roads, especially bridges and overpasses.

Spotty light freezing rain is possible across parts of Garrett and Allegany Counties this evening. Although spotty and light, any ice will make conditions slippery given recent cold weather. Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while driving. If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury.

Winds gusting as high as 45 mph. * WHERE...Tusas Mountains Including Chama. * WHEN...Until 5 PM MST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Some roads may be closed, including Highway 64. Significant travel delays are possible. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Areas of blowing snow may reduce visibility below one mile, except near zero at times on Highway 64 where snow drifts will exceed 2 feet in depth.
