Total snow accumulations between 5 and 8 inches possible. * WHERE...Portions of central, east central, and north central Kansas. * WHEN...From late Monday night through late Tuesday night. * IMPACTS...Roads will likely become slick and hazardous. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Northeast winds are expected to be 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph when the snow could fall. ESFPAH A large storm system is expected to bring as much as 3 to 5 inches of rain across parts of western Kentucky from Friday night through Sunday. While the situation still has time to change rainfall this heavy would likely lead to flooding impacts, including flash flooding and developing/worsening river flood conditions. Remain alert for later forecasts and possible watches and warnings.

Easterly winds will increase tonight as a system approaches the region from the south. Expect winds to begin increasing late tonight and continuing through mid to late morning Sunday before gradually decreasing. Portage Valley and along the Turnagain Arm could see sustained easterly winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts of 45 to 60 mph. Strong winds of 30 to 45 mph with gusts of 50 to 70 mph are possible along the Upper Anchorage Hillside, including Bear Valley and Upper Potter Valley areas.
